Function Graph
This graphs z in terms of x and y, where x and y are within a given range. It can be pictured as defining the altitude of a piece of terrain based on location.
Examples:
Parametric Curve
In this graph, x, y, and z are all defined independently with respect to t, which can vary between a user-defined minimum and maximum value. The corresponding curve is plotted.
Examples:
Parametric Surface
In this graph, x, y, and z are all defined independently with respect to s and t, which can vary between a user-defined minimum and maximum value. The corresponding surface is plotted.
Examples:
Disk/Washer Graph
This graph takes the area between two functions with y defined in terms of x, and it revolves the resulting region about the x-axis.
Examples:
Cylindrical Shell Graph
This graph takes the area between two functions with y defined in terms of x, and it revolves the resulting region about the y-axis.
Examples:
Cross Section Graph
This graph takes the area between two functions with y defined in terms of x, and it replaces each y-slice with a given shape defined in a drop-down menu such that any cross section parallel to the yz-plane is the shape chosen. The choices are circle, semicircle (with the diameter on the xy-plane), square (with either the base or the center on the xy-plane), and triangle (with the base on the xy-plane).
